Saturday in Rostrevor

With us spending most of our days in the house, as most people these days months do, we take every opportunity to get out and about. These past few weeks we were fortunate with the weather on Saturdays it seems. We knew by mid-week where we would like to head this time, so hoped the forecast would not change last minute.

We have not been in Rostrevor for over a year (even thou it’s only an hour drive away), so it was time for a visit.

Our hopes prevailed, forecast did not change, and Saturday morning met us with clear blue skies and the Sun shining. It was not long before we were packed up and ready, and driving towards our destination, with Cupcake in the back seat all excited for a little adventure.

Upon arrival to Kilbroney Park, we decided to take a stroll through the park and alongside Carlingford lough first, before heading up to the trails towards the top and towards Cloughmore Stone.

I have to say the walk up these paths is quite steep, but those views are worth it 🙂

Standing at the top, looking at this natural beauty around us we felt lucky to be living in such a beautiful place.
